These cheesy garlic herb stuffed pretzel bites are the perfect finger food for game day gatherings. With gooey cheese, aromatic garlic, and fresh herbs, they are sure to be a crowd-pleaser!
Ingredients
• 1 1/2 cups warm water (110°F to 115°F)
• 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
• 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
• 4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon kosher salt
• 1/4 cup baking soda
• 1 large egg, beaten
• 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
• 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
• 2 tablespoons garlic powder
• 2 tablespoons mixed dried herbs (like Italian seasoning)
• Coarse sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
1. 1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
2. 2. Add flour and kosher salt to the yeast mixture and stir until a dough forms.
3. 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Let it rise in a greased bowl, covered, for 1 hour.
4. 4. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
5. 5. In a separate bowl, mix the mozzarella and cream cheese with garlic powder and herbs.
6. 6. Punch down the dough and divide it into small pieces (about 1 ounce each).
7. 7. Flatten each piece and place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center, then fold the dough over and pinch to seal.
8. 8. In a large pot, bring 10 cups of water and baking soda to a boil.
9. 9. Boil each pretzel bite for 30 seconds, then remove and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
10. 10. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
11. 11. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.

• These pretzel bites can be made ahead of time and frozen. Just reheat them in the oven before serving.
