Delicious chocolate chip cookie dough brownies that combine the best of both worlds for a sweet breakfast treat.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup cookie dough (store-bought or homemade
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
5. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture.
6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
7. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish.
8. Dollop the cookie dough over the brownie batter, then spread the remaining brownie batter on top.
9. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
10. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a pinch of sea salt on top before baking.
These brownies are best served warm with a scoop of ice cream.
