Description
These crispy maple bacon bombs are a delightful mix of savory and sweet, filled with a cheesy center and topped with a spicy honey drizzle. Perfect for breakfast or as an appetizer!
Ingredients
1 lb thick-cut bacon
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup cream cheese
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp cayenne pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a bowl, mix the cheddar cheese and cream cheese until well combined.
3. Take a slice of bacon and wrap it around a spoonful of the cheese mixture, securing it with a toothpick.
4. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
5. Roll each bacon bomb in flour, then dip in breadcrumbs.
6. Place the bombs on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until crispy.
7. In a small saucepan, mix honey, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Heat until warm and well combined.
8. Drizzle the spicy honey over the bacon bombs before serving.
Notes
Feel free to adjust the level of spice by adding more or less cayenne pepper. These bacon bombs are best served hot!
