These crispy parmesan herb stuffed mushrooms are a delightful breakfast treat, bursting with flavor and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
12 large mushrooms, stems removed
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
3. Drizzle olive oil over the mixture and stir until well combined.
4. Stuff each mushroom cap with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down gently.
5. Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
6. Bake for 20 minutes or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.
Notes
For extra crispiness, broil the mushrooms for the last 2 minutes of baking.
Feel free to add other herbs like thyme or oregano for variation.
