These Crunchy Parmesan Crusted Brussels Sprouts are a delicious and healthy side dish, featuring crispy roasted sprouts coated in a cheesy, golden-brown crust.
Ingredients
1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine the Brussels sprouts, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss to coat.
3. In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese together.
4. Dip each Brussels sprout into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere the crumbs.
5. Arrange the coated Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer.
6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, turning halfway through.
7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add herbs such as thyme or rosemary to the breadcrumb mixture.
Serve with a squeeze of lemon juice for brightness.
