Description

A deliciously messy twist on the classic cheeseburger, featuring double bacon and a bourbon-infused sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef

1/2 lb bacon, chopped

1/2 cup bourbon

1/2 cup ketchup

1/4 cup barbecue sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

4 slices cheddar cheese

4 hamburger buns

Pickles for topping

Instructions

1. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.

2. In the same skillet, add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.

3. Add bourbon, ketchup, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the beef. Stir to combine and simmer for 10 minutes.

4. Toast the hamburger buns in the skillet until golden brown.

5. Spoon the beef mixture onto the bottom half of each bun and top with crispy bacon and a slice of cheddar cheese.

6. Cover with the top half of the bun and serve with pickles on the side.

Notes

For extra flavor, use smoked bacon.

Serve with a side of fries or potato chips for a complete meal.
