4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 large onions, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 cup beef broth

1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese

Fresh thyme for garnish


Instructions

1. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.

2. Add sliced onions and salt, cooking until caramelized, about 20 minutes.

3. Season chicken breasts with pepper and garlic powder.

4. Push onions to the side and add chicken to the skillet, cooking for 5-7 minutes per side.
