Description
A deliciously indulgent dish combining the flavors of a cheeseburger and mac and cheese, all stuffed into a loaf of bread.
Ingredients
1 loaf of Italian bread
1 cup cooked macaroni
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 pound ground beef, cooked and seasoned
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Cut the top off the bread loaf and hollow out the inside.
3. In a bowl, mix the macaroni, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, bacon, ground beef, mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper.
4. Stuff the mixture into the hollowed-out bread loaf.
5. Place the stuffed loaf on a baking sheet and cover with foil.
6. Bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden.
Notes
Let the stuffed loaf cool for a few minutes before slicing.
Serve with extra mustard or ketchup on the side.
