Ingredients

Scale

1 pound frozen French fries

1 can (15 oz) chili (with or without beans, as preferred)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup sour cream

12 fresh jalapeños, sliced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

2. 1. Preheat your oven and cook the French fries according to package instructions until golden and crispy.

3. 2. While the fries are baking, in a small saucepan, heat the chili on medium until warmed through.

4. 3. In a small bowl, mix the sour cream with a drizzle of olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper for the jalapeño drizzle.

5. 4. Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and immediately sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the hot fries.

6. 5. Return the fries to the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the cheese is melted.

7. 6. Pour the warmed chili over the cheesy fries.

8. 7. Drizzle the sour cream mixture over the top and garnish with fresh cilantro and sliced jalapeños.

9. 8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For extra heat, feel free to add more jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the drizzle.

You can substitute the cheddar cheese with any cheese of your choice, such as Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack.
