These delightful Maple Bacon Brie Bites are perfect for festive parties, combining crispy bacon, creamy brie, and a touch of maple sweetness in every bite.
Ingredients
12 slices of bacon
8 ounces of brie cheese, cut into small pieces
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 package of puff pastry (2 sheets), thawed
Fresh thyme leaves for garnish
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. 2. In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
3. 3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into 2-inch squares.
4. 4. Place a square of puff pastry into each cup of a mini muffin tin.
5. 5. Add a piece of brie cheese into each pastry square.
6. 6. Crumble the cooked bacon on top of the brie.
7. 7. Drizzle maple syrup over the bacon and cheese.
8. 8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
9. 9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
10. 10. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh thyme before serving.
Notes
These bites can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving. For a twist, try adding a slice of apple or a sprinkle of chopped pecans for extra flavor.
