Description

Juicy turkey burgers glazed with a sweet maple bourbon sauce, served on slider buns with a crunchy apple slaw. Perfect for parties or a casual dinner!

Ingredients

For the Turkey Burgers:

– 1 lb ground turkey

– 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

– 1 egg

– 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

– 1 tsp garlic powder

– 1 tsp onion powder

– Salt and pepper to taste

For the Maple Bourbon Glaze:

– 1/4 cup maple syrup

– 1/4 cup bourbon

– 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

– 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

For the Apple Slaw:

– 2 cups shredded green cabbage

– 1 cup shredded carrots

– 1 cup thinly sliced apples

– 1/4 cup mayonnaise

– 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

– Salt and pepper to taste

For Serving:

– Slider buns

– Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. 1. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

2. 2. Form the mixture into small patties, about 2 inches in diameter.

3. 3. In a small saucepan, combine maple syrup, bourbon, Dijon mustard, and apple cider vinegar. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.

4. 4. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the turkey patties for 5-6 minutes on each side, basting with the maple bourbon glaze during the last few minutes of cooking.

5. 5. In a separate bowl, mix together cabbage, carrots, apples, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper to make the slaw.

6. 6. Assemble the sliders by placing a patty on each slider bun, topping with apple slaw, and adding a sprinkle of fresh parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

– You can substitute ground chicken for turkey if preferred.

– For a spicier kick, add some cayenne pepper to the turkey mixture.

– These sliders can be made ahead and kept warm in the oven until serving.
