Description

This creamy rice pudding is a comforting dessert made with rice, milk, sugar, and spices. Perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

1 cup Arborio rice

4 cups whole milk

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 cup raisins


Instructions

1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.

2. In a large saucepan, combine the rice, milk, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

3. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring frequently, for about 30 minutes or until the rice is tender.

4. Stir in the vanilla extract, cinnamon, and raisins. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.

5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.

6. Serve warm or chilled, garnished with additional cinnamon if desired.


Notes

For a richer flavor, substitute some of the milk with cream.
