Ingredients
1 pound sausage
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 can (10 ounces) Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. In a large bowl, mix together the sausage and cream cheese until well combined.
3. Stir in the drained Rotel tomatoes, cheddar cheese, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
4. Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
6. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
These sausage balls can be made ahead of time and frozen. Just bake them straight from the freezer, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
