This Savory Bacon-wrapped Meatball Casserole is a hearty dish that combines juicy meatballs wrapped in crispy bacon, baked in a rich tomato sauce, and topped with melted cheese. Perfect for family dinners!
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
12 slices of bacon
2 cups marinara sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
4. Wrap each meatball with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
5. Place the bacon-wrapped meatballs in a baking dish and pour marinara sauce over them.
6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the meatballs and sauce.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the meatballs are cooked through.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add Italian seasoning to the meatball mixture.
Serve with garlic bread or a side salad for a complete meal.
