A delicious and hearty casserole featuring layers of cheesy goodness, crispy bacon, and comforting potatoes.
Ingredients
4 cups diced potatoes
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup chopped green onions
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine the diced potatoes, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
3. Stir in the cooked bacon and half of the cheddar cheese.
4. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
5. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and chopped green onions.
6. Bake for 45 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add some cooked sausage or different types of cheese. This casserole can be made ahead of time and baked when ready.
