Description

These Savory Spinach and Cheese Bombs are a delightful appetizer, perfect for parties or a cozy night in. Flaky pastry filled with creamy cheese and fresh spinach, baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Scale

1 package of puff pastry sheets

2 cups fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 egg, beaten

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the spinach until wilted.

3. In a bowl, mix the sautéed spinach, ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

4. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into squares.

5. Place a spoonful of the cheese and spinach mixture in the center of each square.

6. Fold the pastry over to form a triangle and seal the edges.

7. Brush the tops with beaten egg.

8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm for the best flavor. These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking. Just add a few extra minutes to the baking time if baking from frozen.
