These savory spinach and feta puff pastry bites are a delightful appetizer, perfect for any gathering. Flaky pastry filled with a creamy spinach and feta mixture will leave your guests wanting more.
Ingredients
1 package of puff pastry, thawed
2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg, beaten
1 clove garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant.
3. Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted, then remove from heat.
4. In a bowl, mix together spinach, feta, cream cheese, Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
5. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares.
6. Place a spoonful of the spinach mixture in the center of each square.
7. Fold the pastry over to form triangles and seal the edges with a fork.
8. Brush the tops with beaten egg and place on a baking sheet.
9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
These bites can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking. Just add a few extra minutes to the baking time if baking from frozen.
