Description

These Smoky Bourbon BBQ Brisket Sliders are packed with flavor, topped with a tangy coleslaw, and perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

For the Brisket Sliders:

– 2 lbs beef brisket

– 1 cup bourbon

– 1 cup BBQ sauce

– 1 tablespoon smoked paprika

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon onion powder

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 12 slider buns

For the Coleslaw:

– 4 cups green cabbage, shredded

– 1 cup carrots, shredded

– 1/2 cup mayonnaise

– 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

– 1 tablespoon sugar

– Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

1. 1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).

2. 2. In a bowl, mix the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

3. 3. Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket.

4. 4. Place the brisket in the smoker and smoke for about 6 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (90°C).

5. 5. Remove the brisket and let it rest for 30 minutes, then slice against the grain.

6. 6. In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and carrots.

7. 7. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Pour over the cabbage mixture and toss to combine.

8. 8. To assemble, place a generous amount of brisket on the slider buns and top with coleslaw.


Notes

For extra flavor, you can marinate the brisket overnight in the bourbon and BBQ sauce mixture.

Feel free to adjust the BBQ sauce based on your preference for sweetness or heat.
