Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup milk
2 large eggs
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
6 slices cooked bacon, chopped
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, eggs, maple syrup, ketchup, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
3. Mix until well combined, then shape into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
4. Top the meatloaf with chopped bacon and drizzle with additional maple syrup.
5. Bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
6. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add diced bell peppers or mushrooms to the mixture.
