Description

Indulge in the ultimate comfort food with our Chili Cheese Fries Explosion! Crispy fries topped with spicy chili, gooey cheese, and all your favorite toppings. Perfect for game day or any gathering!

Ingredients

Scale

4 large russet potatoes (for fries)

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 can (15 oz) chili (with beans)

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup sour cream

1/2 cup sliced jalapeños

1/4 cup chopped green onions

Salt and pepper to taste

Vegetable oil (for frying)

Optional: hot sauce, guacamole

Instructions

1. 1. Cut potatoes into thin strips and soak in cold water for at least 30 minutes.

2. 2. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).

3. 3. Fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.

4. 4. Remove fries and drain on paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.

5. 5. In a skillet, cook ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

6. 6. Add canned chili to the skillet and heat through.

7. 7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

8. 8. Layer fries in a large baking dish, pour chili over the fries, and top with shredded cheese.

9. 9. Bake for 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.

10. 10. Remove from the oven and top with sour cream, jalapeños, and green onions. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add spices like cumin or chili powder to the meat.

You can use frozen fries for a quicker option, but homemade fries are recommended for the best texture.
