Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 large egg yolk
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and salt.
3. Add softened butter and egg yolk, mixing until a dough forms.
4. Press the dough into a tart pan and bake for 15 minutes.
5. In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar, corn syrup, and butter; cook until melted and golden.
6. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and cream, then pour over the baked crust.
7. Melt chocolate chips with heavy cream in a bowl, then pour over the caramel layer.
8. Chill the tart in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Serve with whipped cream for added richness.
