Description
Delicious jalapeño poppers wrapped in crispy bacon and glazed with a sweet whiskey sauce. Perfect for parties and gatherings!
Ingredients
8 large jalapeños, halved and seeded
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 lb bacon, cut in half
1/2 cup whiskey
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and pepper.
3. Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
4. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
5. In a small saucepan, combine whiskey, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Heat over medium until sugar dissolves.
6. Brush the whiskey glaze over each bacon-wrapped jalapeño.
7. Place jalapeños on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bacon is crispy and cooked through.
8. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the jalapeños in whiskey for a few hours before wrapping.
Adjust the amount of cream cheese to your preference for creaminess.
