Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground pork
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 large egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup whiskey
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
3. Form the mixture into meatballs (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
4. In a small saucepan, combine whiskey and maple syrup over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
5. Brush the whiskey-maple glaze over the meatballs and bake for 20 minutes, or until cooked through.
6. Remove from the oven and drizzle with sweet chili sauce before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, let the meatball mixture sit for 30 minutes before forming the meatballs.
