These Whiskey-Glazed Maple Bacon Meatballs are a perfect blend of sweet and savory, perfect for any party or gathering.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb bacon, chopped
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1 large egg
1/4 cup whiskey
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped bacon, breadcrumbs, green onions, egg, and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
3. Mix until well combined, then form into 1-inch meatballs.
4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
5. While the meatballs are baking, in a small saucepan, combine the whiskey, maple syrup, and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for about 5 minutes, until slightly thickened.
6. Once the meatballs are done, drizzle the whiskey glaze over them and toss to coat. Serve warm.
Notes
These meatballs can be made ahead of time and frozen. Just reheat in the oven and add the glaze before serving.
