Description

These Smoky Maple Bourbon Pulled Pork Nachos are the ultimate comfort food, combining tender pulled pork with smoky flavors and a hint of sweetness from bourbon and maple syrup. Perfect for game day or a cozy night in!

Ingredients

– 2 lbs pork shoulder

– 1/2 cup bourbon

– 1/4 cup maple syrup

– 1 tablespoon smoked paprika

– 1 tablespoon garlic powder

– 1 tablespoon onion powder

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

– 1 bag tortilla chips

– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

– 1/2 cup diced green onions

– 1/2 cup sour cream

– 1/4 cup jalapeños (optional)

Instructions

1.

2. 1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).

3. 2. In a bowl, mix together the bourbon, maple syrup, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.

4. 3. Rub the marinade all over the pork shoulder, ensuring it’s well coated.

5. 4. Place the pork shoulder in the smoker and cook for about 8-10 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 195°F (90°C).

6. 5. Once cooked, remove the pork from the smoker and let it rest for 30 minutes before shredding.

7. 6. While the pork is resting, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

8. 7. Spread tortilla chips on a large baking sheet. Top with shredded pork and cheddar cheese.

9. 8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.

10. 9. Remove from the oven and garnish with diced green onions, sour cream, and jalapeños if desired.

11. 10. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

– For extra flavor, you can add your favorite BBQ sauce to the pulled pork before serving.

– These nachos are best served fresh but can also be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
